"She observed the assault and she was in her vehicle at the time, she exited her vehicle, produced a gun, at which time she did fire upon the suspect," said Johnson.
The suspect fled across the street to McDonald's where deputies said he assaulted another person. Several bystanders saw the man and pinned him to the ground, waiting for deputies to arrive. He then was taken into custody.
